Leading Northern European B2B software investor GRO acquires the global Usage Data Management leader to capitalize on growth, as demand for subscription and usage-based business models proliferates across industries. 

GRO announced today that it has agreed to acquire DigitalRoute, a global leader in Usage Data Management (UDM) software. The deal aims to accelerate the growth and innovation of DigitalRoute, as the company leverages its expertise and technology to help enterprises adopt and optimize subscription and usage-based business models across industries. 

DigitalRoute provides a best-of-breed platform enabling enterprises to collect, process, and monetize usage data from any source, in any format, and at any scale. The platform supports various use cases, such as billing mediation, revenue assurance, usage-based charging, and analytics. DigitalRoute serves more than 300 customers across industries, including telecoms, software, media and entertainment, financial services, manufacturing, travel, transportation, and logistics. 

Huge potential in rise of subscription and usage-based business models 

DigitalRoute is an established company with more than 20 years of experience within UDM in the telco industry and is well-positioned to extend its global leadership into an emerging market of new business models across industries.

GRO is acquiring DigitalRoute from Neqst, a Swedish private equity investment firm specializing in profitable growth companies within software and IT services. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
